After Martin Luther King was killed, residents in cities all over the country rioted for several days straight. Watch how Boston was spared much of this violence. What do you think it would be like to be in Mayor Kevin White's Shoes?

This is a great video to show the effects on all cities in the U.S. regarding the death of Martin Luther King. I was very surprised that James Brown was so upset that he was not receiving the amount of money that they estimated. The reason I found this surprising was because Martin Luther King had just died and the concert was going to be played, so the people could relax. I would have never thought that someone would be waiting to be paid to do something that would help the great majority of City. I liked that the video showed the reactions to all the sides. The video overall was very good.
ReplyDeleteI also thought that this was a really interesting and inforative video. I think it used to ironic that Boston was the city that handled the death on Martin Luther King Jr. the best and it did not have a lot of riots but Boston was also the city that handled the busing crisis the worst. I would seem that because we as a city handled the the King shooting so well we would have done the same with busing but that was not the case. I agree with Xhonathan when James Brown complained about how didnt get enough money but this concert was supposed to be for a good cause and he shouldnt be complaining about the money he was making and it still was a lot of money.
